Presbyterian Homes of Georgia's exceptional ministry and care can be felt through the testimonials of those closely associated with various aspects of our mission and our communities.

Dick and I together visited six or seven places that were more convenient to our St. Simon's Island home before deciding upon Quitman. At Quitman, we found an extraordinary level of care, loving staff, and new friends. Dick lived there happily for more than a dozen years. When we decided to make a planned gift to Presbyterian Homes, we did so because of our desire to help the Caring Hands Fund. It is comforting to know that Dick and I shall have provided a perpetual gift to this ministry.

The opportunity to join Presbyterian Homes gives me the ability to answer what I believe to be a call from God as well as to lend my energies to a ministry which, from its beginning, has been a large part of my family's life.

Alex Patterson, Senior Executive Director
Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community, Quitman

How amazing it is that in a time when spending is down and people are concerned about their own financial situation our residents in need can sit back as if they are in the hands of God. This is because the people of God continue to step forward and give and give generously.

Rev. Eleana Garrett, Trustee

I encourage others to give to Caring Hands. Giving is a ministry; here we all know that we work for a Christian ministry. We all know that God gave His only begotten son and that giving should be a way of life. You cannot go wrong with giving. We see the results around here every day; giving is love.

When I arrived at Philips Tower in 2007, I was in transition. I felt like a stranger in a strange land. Recently widowed, I left my long-time home San Francisco and moved to Georgia to be near my son. I had never lived in the South and had no experience in a senior community. What helped me the most was Philips Tower. I immediately felt safe and welcome here. I have learned so much and enjoyed the mix of people here. When my friends in California ask when I am returning, I can truthfully say that I'm not. I have a special home here and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
